Representing God's character of love and design laws - Through School Chaplaincy -

I commenced my journey as a School Chaplain through Scripture Union at The Summit State School in the first school term of 2023. I have continued my chaplaincy work with the school Thursdays and Fridays. My greatest passion for Chaplaincy work is in being the hands and feet of those in need. I strive to restore hope, love and self-worth back into those whose struggles seem unbearable for them. My desire is to help people feel at ease so that they are more willing to participate in and enjoy this gift we call “life.” 

I am passionate about connecting with and supporting young people, their families and staff within my work role. I am respectful and organize and run activities that are inclusive of all participants' needs, values and beliefs. I work hard to individually connect with all students, their families and co-workers to ensure they feel calm and connected using mediums such as various games, activities, walks and talks. Through their interests I find a way to build a relationship of trust with the individual in order to understand and assist them to feel comfortable in sharing their thoughts and feelings. Throughout my chaplaincy work, I have developed strong trust-based relationships with co-workers, students and families who hold different beliefs, values and opinions to my own. In everything I do, I strive to present the truth in love and leave others free to make decisions for themselves.
