Matthew Walker

I am currently working as Chaplain of Dalveen State School. It’s a kind little school which offers great opportunity for students in the community of Dalveen. My role is primarily student support, being in class supporting their education, and creating opportunities for games and activities to encourage connection with each other and inspiring a deeper purpose.

I have many opportunities to mentor and facilitate conversations, conflict resolution and provide a good sounding board for deeper God and life questions students may have. I often take opportunities to tell stories or play games with instructive lessons which asks the student the question: ‘What is life really about?’ ‘What is my purpose?’ ‘How can I live life to full?’ 

Being a part of the Dalveen School and Community has brought me the deepest of joys in being able to do life with those God truly cares about.
