I'm fundraising to continue serving the school for 2 days

I currently work within the Wellbeing Team at Sunshine Beach State High School, supporting students with their social and emotional wellbeing. Sometimes this simply means being a safe person to talk to by offering a listening ear or being a buddy for a student who feels lonely. I provide encouragement and help young people work through friendship difficulties and conflicts. I also help connect families with the many generous organisations in the Noosa community that provide emergency relief such as food, fuel, school fees, uniforms, computers and school supplies. In addition, I assist students to access support for sports and activities so they can remain engaged, active and connected, which plays an important role in protecting their mental health and wellbeing.

I am currently at the school two days each week, however the Gov't funding will end mid-year. Many people are unaware that school Chaplain positions are not fully funded and they rely on the generosity of the community. I am seeking community support to help fund this additional day so this important support can continue for students and families who need it most. Any contribution, large or small, is an investment in the wellbeing and future of our young people. Thank you in advance!
