Epic Beach Break Camp

Epic Beach Break is a five-day camp experience welcoming over 60 high school students from our community, designed to build lasting friendships and explore the biggest questions of life. Thank you for your consideration to partner with us as we bring hope to a young generation.

About our cause:

Over the five days of camp, our volunteers get to walk these students through the incredible, life-changing story of the Gospel, in a way that connects with them right where they are.

With the rising costs of camps, despite our best efforts, fees continue to go up and in recent years has been one of the biggest hurdles we have faced in inviting young people along. This year, Beach Break will cost $600 per student and volunteer. Unfortunately at this cost, it’s not just a difficulty to work through, but a barrier that then discourages the students from even taking a flyer home to ask their parents/guardians. 

To help combat this, last year we ran our first ever Epic Appeal! Our hope was to directly reduce the advertised cost of camp for all students and our generous volunteers and in doing so, removing one of the biggest barriers for many local families. Through the generous support of so many individuals and local church's we were able to fulfil our goal allowing us to welcome more students onto camp and providing an opportunity for them to encounter Jesus.

Although we knew it was essential to find a way to reduce the cost of camp, the impact was far greater than we had ever imagined. For the first time in over 5 years, we were not only able to fill camp but also had to close registrations 2 weeks out - something we have never done in the 20 years that camp has been running. Instead of having to hunt to find kids to invite to camp; we had kids rushing to come and were thankful for the opportunity to be on camp. Parents were calling in to thank us for making camp possible - blown away by how we could offer it for this price!

This year, as costs continue to rise, we no longer hope that the appeal will help remove barriers, but know it is essential to providing the opportunity for kids to come on camp and experience the gospel. Our goal is to have 90 people give $225 each (although any donation amount is welcome), which along with some generous sponsors, will allow us to advertise camp at $295. This not only removes the cost barriers, but also communicates the heart of what we are about to families and blesses them in the process.
