Spelling For a Great Cause

The Camp Hill State Infants and Primary School Chaplaincy Spellathon is raising money to enable Chappy Mal to work at the school four days a week.

Chappy Mal has been the chaplain at CHSIPS since 2011 providing pastoral care and emotional support and is well known for his LEGO mentoring program. Chappy Mal helps students find better ways to deal with issues ranging from family breakdown, loneliness, friendship issues or grief and loss. He provides a listening ear and a caring presence for children in crisis. He also provides support for staff and parents in the school community.

How it Works

1. LEARN YOUR WORDS

You have three weeks to learn your spelling words (rhyming words for Prep)

Your words have been selected for you and are appropriate to your year level

2. GET SPONSORS

Ask your parent/guardian to make a fundraising page online. Then share your fundraising link and ask your family and friends to sponsor you.

3. TAKE THE SPELLING TEST

Your teacher will test the spelling words of those participating and send home a slip of paper with your score.

4. CHOOSE YOUR PRIZE

Raise $30 & you will be sent an email to choose a prize. Raise $60 & you can choose 2!

Major Prize Draw

If you raise over $100 you go into the Major Prize Draw for a $200 Westfield voucher to spend on whatever you choose.
For every $50 you raise over $100 you get an extra entry into the draw.
